KIM ROBINSON FLAGSHIP SALON
AT NGEE ANN CITY
In the world of high-end beauty, the ambience of a flagship salon can be just as influential as the services it offers. Kim Robinson, the world renowned legendary hairstylist, set a new benchmark with the opening of his Singapore flagship salon, conceived in collaboration with Mark Owen Interior Associates.

Anchored in one of Singapore’s most prestigious retail addresses, the new 4,000-square-foot salon's interior design has emerged as a 70s signature aesthetic that brilliantly fuses contemporary, art and architecture. Framed by a understated glass frontage, the entry reveals a curated display of exclusive haircare line. Further in, a one-piece handcrafted sculptural solid brass reception counter stands against a subtle textured wall, setting the tone for a space defined by confidence and style.

A bold, 1970s-inspired geometric carpet runs through the salon’s high-traffic zones, adding comfort underfoot, acoustic softness, and a refined sense of Milanese glamour to the overall palette. Italian polished terrazzo floor spans the whole salon, from the gallery-like corridor leading to private VIP rooms before opening to the Main Styling Area, where dry-cut stations are arranged around a dramatic indoor “forest”.

Reflective surfaces are used extensively: floating shelves, mirror screens, and polished brass create dynamic interactions with light, enhancing the interior architectural geometry. Lighting is strategically positioned to flatter skin tones and highlight materials without overwhelming the senses.

The Cleansing Area, outfitted with top of the range shampoo beds and accented by Kim Robinson’s very own artwork, against a backdrop of black porcelain mosaic redefines relaxation and crafting an exclusive sanctuary for clients to unwind amidst tranquility.

From its sophisticated simplicity to its luxurious details, every aspect of the interior design reflects the brand’s ethos of unrivaled luxury and beauty. As visitors step inside, they are transported into a world where the boundaries between retail and art blur seamlessly.
